Hello!

Hi! I'm Sofi and I’m a journalist & podcast producer. I’m also a politics and policy nerd who is passionate about making complicated topics easy to understand for everyday people.

I am currently producing Optimist Economy, a podcast about how we can make the US economy better for everyone. Previously, I was at Vox.com, where I produced The Weeds, a flagship policy show, and later helped develop, launch, and produce the Explain It to Me podcast.

Outside of work, I consider myself the “fun fact” friend (this could be good or bad – I’ve accepted it). I like mid-century modern design & architecture, cooking, crocheting & other fiber arts, jigsaw puzzles, movies, and binge-watching TV shows. I have a wiener dog named George, and I’m based in Chicago.
